Pilot

Pilot is an Australian digital healthcare clinic focused on men's health, offering online consultations and discreet delivery of treatments for conditions like erectile dysfunction, hair loss, and weight management. Part of the Eucalyptus group of digital health brands, it combines clinical care with a direct, "mate-like" tone of voice to overcome the stigma that often prevents men from seeking help

Objective:

Redesign and rebuild the Pilot website on Webflow to create a scalable, brand-consistent marketing platform that clearly communicates a sensitive service. The site needed to build immediate trust, simplify a complex healthcare journey, and empower the internal marketing team to manage content and iterate quickly without heavy developer reliance.

Research & Discovery

The foundational research highlighted a critical issue: Australian men are statistically less likely to seek medical help despite facing significant health challenges. User insights revealed key barriers: embarrassment, perceived complexity, and a dislike for traditional clinical jargon. The strategy was defined: meet men where they are with clarity, discretion, and relatable language instead of a sterile, corporate medical tone.

Wireframing & Planning

Wireframes focused on a frictionless user journey, mapping the path from problem awareness ("Better in bed," "Stop thinning hair") to the simple three-step solution ("Quiz, Consult, Delivery"). The information architecture was designed to present clinical credibility alongside approachable benefits, carefully planning spaces for trust signals like practitioner credentials, security badges, and authentic patient reviews.

Visual Design

The visual design balanced professionalism with approachability. A clean, modern interface used confident typography and a restrained color palette to convey trust. Strategic use of bold, benefit-oriented headlines and supportive iconography made sensitive topics feel manageable and straightforward, directly supporting the brand's "mate-like" communication style.

Prototyping & Testing

Interactive prototypes tested the core conversion funnel—ensuring the quiz and consultation process felt private and unintimidating. User feedback validated the tone of voice and the clarity of the service model. Testing also focused on how effectively the design presented social proof (testimonials, consultation counts) to build credibility for a service requiring high trust.

Development

The development team at Flow Ninja translated the design into a robust Webflow site. A key focus was building a single, comprehensive style guide and reusable component library. This empowered the Pilot marketing team to create new, on-brand pages independently after launch. Complex e-commerce functionalities, like the "add to cart" flow, were integrated using custom code alongside Webflow's native tools.

Content Strategy & UX Writing

Every word was crafted to reduce anxiety. UX writing employed direct, colloquial Australian English ("for the boys," "sort out your health") to demystify healthcare. Microcopy in the medical quiz and check-out process was designed to be reassuring and clear. The strategy successfully turned clinical information into accessible, engaging content that resonated deeply with the target audience.

Integration & Testing

The site was integrated with external healthcare and e-commerce platforms to manage consultations and fulfill orders. Rigorous testing covered cross-browser compatibility, mobile responsiveness, site speed, and the functionality of all critical user journeys—especially the consultation booking and checkout processes. Security and compliance were paramount, given the handling of personal health data.

Deployment & Maintenance

Following launch on Webflow's hosting, the project's greatest success was the transition of ownership. Flow Ninja provided thorough training, enabling Eucalyptus to form an in-house Webflow team. This allowed Pilot's marketers to directly manage CMS content, publish blog posts, run campaigns, and build new landing pages with the pre-built component library, ensuring the site could evolve at the pace of the business.
