SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) is the essential global network connecting over 11,000 financial institutions to enable secure cross-border payments and communications.
Objective:
To redesign the corporate website on Webflow, improving the user experience for diverse financial industry audiences and clearly communicating complex services and critical updates like the ISO 20022 migration.
Strategy and Approach:

Research & Discovery
We identified key user groups: banking professionals, corporate clients, and compliance officers. Research showed a need for better information architecture and simpler explanations of technical financial concepts. The multilingual homepage reflects the global audience.

Wireframing & Planning
We structured the site around core solution areas visible on the homepage: Payments, Securities, Risk and Compliance. Wireframes prioritized urgent industry news and created clear user paths from information to action portals like MySwift.

Visual Design
The design balances SWIFT's established credibility with a more modern, accessible interface. A refined color palette and clear typography hierarchy improve scannability for dense technical content, using icons and visuals to make complex topics more approachable.

Prototyping & Testing
Interactive Webflow prototypes were tested with target users. We validated navigation, comprehension of critical updates (like ISO 20022), and access to tools like the BIC Directory. Feedback led to adding more contextual help throughout the site.

UI/UX
The high-fidelity visual design was created in Figma, establishing a complete design system. This included a refined color palette, typography scale, iconography, and interactive component states. The design balanced SWIFT's credibility with a modern interface, using visual cues and clear hierarchies to make complex financial content more scannable and approachable. Detailed design specs were prepared for handoff.

Development (Webflow)
The approved Figma designs were translated into a functional, responsive website using Webflow. We utilized Webflow's CMS for dynamic content like news articles and solution pages, and built reusable component classes to ensure consistency and efficient updates. Custom code was integrated only where necessary for specific functionalities, maintaining Webflow's visual editor advantages for the client's future content management.

Integration & Testing
We integrated Webflow with backend systems for dynamic content like customer portals. Rigorous security, cross-browser, and accessibility testing ensured the site met the high standards of a financial infrastructure provider.

Deployment & Maintenance
The site was deployed using Webflow's enterprise hosting. The CMS enables teams to easily update time-sensitive content. Ongoing maintenance includes UX reviews and regular updates to address new industry topics, keeping the site current and effective.
